Orthodontics is a speciality that helps to correct badly positioned teeth and malformations of the jaw. It renders teeth functional again while improving their appearance and corrects the alignment of the jaw and the position of the teeth.

All you need for start

Why do you need it?

When teeth overlap, some areas are difficult to reach with a toothbrush and this overcrowding can cause tartar to form below the gum line. This can lead to bone loss which, in some cases, is responsible for tooth mobility.

Clean code

When should you make an appointment?

Orthodontic treatment can be provided at any age. In the case of extreme dental malformation, it must be combined with maxillofacial surgery. Children should have their first check-up around 7 years old, the second one around 11 years old and the third one round 12-13 years old.

Lingual orthodontics is the correction of misaligned teeth, using a fixed brace, bonded on the inner surface of the teeth. A lingual brace works in the same way as a conventional fixed brace, with full control and movement of the teeth, but is nearly invisible, the only person who knows you have a brace is you. Lingual braces can be for everyone, if you have healthy gums and bones. With Lingual braces, if you are an adult or adolescent, there are individual solutions to individual problems. In the majority of cases, this solution is used for children under 8.5 years old to correct the position or form of the jaw.

10% 7-9 years old
60% 11-16 years old
30% 17-65 years old

Treatment for the first category of patients (children aged 7 to 9 years) usually involves the use of a removable functional appliance.

Treatment for the second category of patients (11 to 16 years) usually involves the use of a fixed straight-wire appliance – ceramic or metal brackets.

Adults of all ages make up the third category of patients who tend to prefer a more discreet treatment and hence the use of an invisible Incognito appliance.

You need to keep them on for at least 1 year depending on the type of appliance and the patient’s condition. This will be discussed at your first appointment with the orthodontist.
If you think you might need to see one, you can always call and make an appointment for an initial examination.
The best way to find out is to consult an orthodontist. The first signs of an imperfect positioning of the teeth generally appears between 6 and 8 years old. During this period, you may notice tell-tale signs such as teeth with gaps between them, protruding teeth, etc.
Normally, the procedures aren’t any more painful than those you might have at the dentist’s.
This depends on your insurance but if it’s for a child who hasn’t yet reached the age of 15, part of the costs are indeed covered by social security.
It depends on the type of appliance and the type of technology used. Obviously, there will be some discomfort in the beginning after the appliance has been fitted, but you will quickly adapt and will be able to speak normally.
It’s possible to have orthodontic treatment at any age.
The appliance has to be cleaned after every meal by strictly following the instructions.
The price depends on several factors. The best way to define the price is to come for a diagnosis at our practice.
